1
Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint. (Is. 40: 31)

2
Jack & Mary Anne Voelkel Arizona.
“Praise God for the IFES World Assembly in August. He brought refreshment to 1200 weary student workers through scripture, worship, the arts, and small groups. They left with renewed strength and hope to minister to a broken world.”

SUNDAY
Susan Jeffery, CANIL, Abbotsford.
“Pray for a timely and successful repair to CanIL’s failed heating/cooling system and for protection of heat-sensitive equipment throughout the building in the interim. Also remember Danny, our President, as he stands in the gap regarding this situation and others due to a staffing vacancy.”

4
Paul & Mary Beth McLean, PCC, Taiwan.
"Thank God for the Sediq-Toda churches who helped their villages recover after se-vere rains and landslides in August. May God bless the Bible translation team as they resume their work."

5
Laurie Armstrong, P2C.
“Pray as students return, that those who don't know Jesus would become friends with Christians and encounter Jesus. That students would find a community on campus and a church where they can continue to grow and feel safe. That they would experience the goodness and presence of God daily.”

6
Bill Fitch, Listen to Learn.
“We're getting close to the arrival of our three top Listen to Learn leaders from Kenya! Isaac, Susan & Solomon will be in Canada for 3 weeks, starting Sept. 8. Our focus is long-range planning, but we'll also be meeting with supporters and doing a few presentations. Please pray that our time will be invested well, and that the trip will be delightful as well as productive.”

7
Gord & Brenda Nickerson, Josiah Venture.
This summer JV organized 107 Youth Camps throughout Central & Eastern Eu-rope with thousands of young people in at-tendance. Some came to Christ and others grew. Please pray for these young people, that they will get connected with church youth groups.

8
Elizabeth Matthias, Germany.
“The home service in PA was intense and encouraging—packed with multitudes of blessings! I'm so grateful! Prayers for the Spirit to bring heart changes in counseling, as well as wisdom in mentoring and training, are especially needed. May the Lord deepen and widen the training of lay counsellors to share the load and strengthen the church. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your love and prayers. Blessings!!!”

9
Chyrl Basa, FFM.
We praise God for a wonderful Day of Prayer in August. Around 20 people came in person and 30 on Zoom. Pray as we plan for the Global Day of Prayer on November 18th, and for the outreach activity that we are planning to host in the fall. May God lead and bless all these activities for His glory!

SUNDAY
Colin & Rachel McCordic, AIM
. “Thank you, everyone, for praying for us during the first month of our road trip across western Canada! We are very encouraged as we have had some new financial supporters. We are trusting God to raise up more sup-porters. Please pray for us as we continue to travel this month and share with church-es and individuals.”

11
Rosemary Walker, Montreal.
“After a summer break, our bi-weekly Côte-des-Neiges Lady Zoomers Bible Study in Montreal is scheduled to start up again on September 11th … and our weekly International English Classes resume on September 18th. Please pray that the members come back and that others will decide to join both groups. May the Lord continue to upbuild his own and to draw others to Himself through these ministries.”

12
Refugee Sponsorship
& Run with Refugees. We need to establish the Group of Five who will guide in the settlement of the refugee family Knox is sponsoring. There are still two volunteers lacking, so please ask the Lord for His choices to come for-ward. Also, we are involved in the Adam House Run with Refugees fundraiser on Oct. 14th. Helpers and donors sought.

13
Carluci & Christina Dos Santos, LAM,
are grateful for our support and for a time of rest. Christina, Isabela, Nicoli, Hannah, and Carluci were able to spend a week together, hiking in Gros Mourne National Park (in Newfoundland where Nicoli & Erik live), catching up and seeking God's guidance. Carluci meets early this month with Spanish and Portuguese leadership in the GTA to discuss plans for continued formal theological education, and to share the vision and experiences of church planting with existing churches.

14
Khevna & Sharon, Knox Missions Hub.
“Praise God for many who joined us at our interactive learning and prayer Around the World event. It has also been an encouraging month of hearing stories of God at work, and we would love prayers for discipleship connections as we launch new Missions Disciplers cohorts!”

15
I & S. Perspectivas, Brasil.
“Please pray for a good home assignment [in Canada] before we enter our next field. S’s mother has been in and out of hospital this past month with dehydration related to cancer treatment symptoms. Please pray for her care. Please pray for Pedro’s passport to be issued in good time.”

16
Sylvia Dresser, Waterloo.
“Pray for the planned Bible Conference for the Asmat in Saman to be held the latter part of Sept., for the Holy Spirit to be the teacher of all present. Ask the Lord to supply rain for those attending to drink during an unusually dry season. Thanks for your prayers for Andrew. He’s coping well with greatly reduced vision.”

SUNDAY
Dave & Rani, Brampton.
“Thank God that Rani is feeling better; please pray for a diagnosis of her health problem. Please pray for Deepak as he enters Grade 12. Though he is growing spiritually, he finds it difficult to focus. We meet with new friends who attended our Satsangh; praise God for openness. Several pastors and seminary students look to Dave not only for guidance but also financial support; please pray for the Spirit’s guidance.”

18
Xerggyo & Hil, Mexico.
“Hil is doing very well now, so we have started to travel around, visiting families and small prayer meetings. Our apartment was sold. We are donating all our furniture. This is the only solution because we didn't find a place. A friend gave us a small room for our most important and basic things.”

19
Luke & Yuko Elliot, Aomori Christian Center, Japan
. Pray for the ongoing work at Aomori, with the most intense summer camping period now ended. Grace, Faith and Judah are registered at Faith Academy in the Philippines, leaving the two youngest at home. Big transition times for the family.

“I’m a Regent College Ontario Alumni Liaison, and one of our professors is coming to Toronto. I’m planning a reunion for alumni in Ontario and would appreciate prayer for making solid connections here. MissionGO is also taking their missionaries on a cruise to the Caribbean at the end of September. It’ll be great to meet the other missionaries and the staff team. I’m excited! My first time to that area of the world.”

23
Marg Roth, Waterloo.
“My brothers-in-law are doing very poorly, one in Long-term Care. Pray for their families, making deci-sions. “As a note of praise, our small group who meet for church every Sunday is grow-ing a bit which is encouraging, and our Bible study is up to 6 or 7 now. With my prayers and love for my Knox family.”

SUNDAY
Leah Hopp, OPC, Uganda.
“The mission is currently sponsoring 11 boys to go to school: six in secondary school and five in tertiary schools. All the mission members on the school committee have left the field and now I am the one in charge of their fees and requirements. It’s more work than I anticipated. I want to train them to take initiative and contribute more effort to their personal educational processes.”

25
Gus & Marliese Ketola, London.
“As Marliese and I meet with a Metis lady and her two adult children, we ask that the Lord give us wisdom and love. Recently a Yazidi lady said she hadn’t been baptized because [her] husband disapproved of it. Please pray that we’ll move ahead with these friends.”
